The $60.8 billion Ukraine foreign aid package endorsed by Speaker Mike Johnson which passed in the House over the weekend contains $300 million for Ukraine's border security as well as their national police force. The House has not come up with a plan to secure the US-Mexico border.
Border security and illegal immigration have become a top issue for US voters. In a recent poll from Fox News, voters overwhelmingly said border security was the largest failure of the Biden administration and the second largest accomplishment of former President Donald Trump.The bill to be brought to the Senate floor on Tuesday reads that $300 million will be made available "to support the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and National Police of Ukraine."
